Teaching Assistant – Students & Graduates Welcome
Are you a student or recent graduate looking to gain classroom experience in a rewarding and flexible role? We’re working with welcoming primary schools across Cambridge who are looking for Teaching Assistants to join their teams either on a day to day or long term basis
This is a fantastic opportunity if you're passionate about working with children and want to gain experience that supports future careers in teaching, psychology, therapy, or social care.
About the role:
Roles vary depending on your experience and the needs of the school. You could be:
1. Providing 1:1 support for pupils with additional needs
2. Supporting the class teacher with general classroom support
3. Delivering intervention sessions for small groups
4. Assisting with day-to-day cover, routines, and creative activities
You’ll be placed in a role that fits your strengths, availability, and aspirations.
Requirements:
To be considered, you must:
5. Be 18 or over
6. Have valid right to work in the UK (including student visas if applicable)
7. Be able to provide a clear DBS (we can help you apply for one)
8. If you’ve lived or worked overseas in the past 5 years, provide an Overseas Police Check
9. Have a minimum of 6 weeks’ experience working with children, such as:
Summer camps
Tuition or tutoring
Classroom or school volunteering
Charity youth work
Mentoring or coaching
After-school or holiday clubs
