About the Service
Our supported living services are for autistic adults who need extra help to live in their own homes or within our accommodation, whether as tenants or owner occupiers, living alone, or with others. North 1 support a total of 13 autistic people across Lancashire.

About the Role
We are looking for a caring and reliable Support Worker.

You’ll be working with an autistic adult and her family in a community support environment, providing person centred support on a 1:1 basis to a lady in her own home. She is looking for an active person who will enjoy supporting her on long walks with her dog, bike rides and swimming and is interested in films, books and crafts. You will also provide support with any aspect of daily living including domestic tasks, finances, relationships, health, medication, work and education.

Due to the nature of the role and the female vulnerable person being supported in her own home, a female Support Worker is required for this role.

What You’ll Do

* Assist with personal care (bathing, dressing, eating)
* Encourage activities they enjoy (swimming, hiking, arts & crafts)
* Support life skills& independence(budgeting, shopping, meal preparation)

What We’re Looking For

* For you to inspire others with a positive attitude towards supporting vulnerable people
* Experience with autistic people is helpful but not essential
* Personal experience or a passion for helping others is welcome

This advert is for a part time position at 16 Hours per week.

Your working pattern in this role will require flexibility to meet the needs of the people supported and their families and will include evening and weekend working.

Possession of a driving licence (minimum one year) is preferred.
