We’re looking for a Customer Service Assistant to join our team at One Stop, a subsidiary of Tesco. As a Customer Service Assistant, you will be working in a fast paced retail environment where no day is the same.
You will play an important role in the day-to-day operations of our store activities by providing excellent customer service, stocking shelves, processing payments and helping maintain the store’s appearance.
As the customer is at the heart of everything we do, you will be constantly looking for ways to improve service in your store through on the job coaching and feedback. With your guidance, your store will always remain a safe place to work and shop.
Responsibilities
* Know your customers and serve them with passion and pride, giving great natural service.
* Encourage customers to provide feedback by completing the “have your say” survey.
* Work across all areas of the store including online, tills, replenishment, vending and stock routines to meet customer needs.
* Apply training to ensure tasks are completed safely.
* Participate in seasonal, community and charity events to create a welcoming atmosphere.
* Understand store performance and the role you play in delivering profit.
* Represent the store values, make customers feel welcome, and follow policies.
* Clock in and out at the start and end of shifts to ensure accurate pay.
* Follow security procedures and wear safety equipment where available to keep yourself, colleagues and customers safe.
* Follow the Think 25 policy when serving age restricted products.
* Respond quickly to assistance calls on self-service checkouts and explain actions to customers.
* Keep the store clean, tidy and organized with clear aisles.
* May be responsible for running the shift in the absence of the Shift Leader and Store Manager.
* Follow all training to keep the store safe and compliant.
If this store has a Post Office Local, duties include day-to-day post office operations and require passing a Post Office financial and criminal conviction background check. If checks fail, the job offer may be withdrawn.
