We are seeking a caring and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a child in KS1 at a welcoming primary school in High Wycombe. The school has a nurturing ethos and a strong commitment to ensuring that every child reaches their full potential. This is a part-time role, Monday to Friday from 12:30pm to 3:30pm, starting as soon as possible. Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 support for a child with additional needs, following individual learning and behaviour support plans. Support the child’s participation in classroom activities, ensuring they are included and engaged in their learning. Assist with the development of communication, social and self-help skills. Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals to implement targeted strategies. Encourage positive behaviour and promote independence where possible. Provide feedback on progress and challenges to staff and contribute to review meetings. Requirements: Previous experience working with children with SEN is essential. Experience in Early Years and/or KS1 settings is highly desirable. Patient, resilient, and empathetic, with a genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development. Ability to work well as part of a team as well as independently when required. A DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain a new one. At Supply Hive, safeguarding is a top priority.
