Job Title: Relationship Director - Corporate Banking
HSBC is seeking an experienced and customer-focused individual to join our Corporate Banking team in the UK as a Relationship Director. This role involves managing a portfolio of domestic and international clients within the Oxford market, helping them realize their ambitions and fostering strong, evolving partnerships.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Developing HSBCs profile in the local business and community as an ambassador.
* Supporting customers and prioritizing their needs to set world-class standards.
* Seeking new business opportunities and nurturing existing relationships.
* Building a network of business introducers within the local professional and business community.
* Managing credit, operational, reputation, financial crime, and regulatory risks according to established structures and processes.
* Collaborating with product partners to assess customer needs and offer suitable solutions.
The ideal candidate will have:
* Experience in Corporate Banking or Business Banking.
* Strong relationship management skills, especially with complex relationships.
* Local market knowledge (preferred).
* Proven ability to identify customer needs, generate lending opportunities, and apply appropriate products.
* Ability to build effective networks and develop mutual trust.
* Understanding of credit risk management and regulatory compliance.
* Self-motivation and ability to manage conflicting priorities.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
This hybrid role is based in Reading, with regular travel within the region for client visits. Applicants should reside within a reasonable commute to Reading.
