Job Description
We are looking to recruit a Technical Operative 1 in the Configuration department to provide effective and efficient support to our clients. They will provide basic to intermediate level IT configuration services and should be competent at component level while managing their workload within timely parameters.
Typical responsibilities include software installations and configuration in an existing IT infrastructure or pre‑designed project and familiarity with current Microsoft desktop operating systems.
Bespoke system work. In‑house systems (training given). Build software systems using detailed scripts – training will be provided on scripts and must be followed as a breach can result in escalation.
Effective up‑line reporting – strong communication skills and the ability to interact with stakeholders at varying levels.
Data input – 25‑50 % of the role is data input on spreadsheets; manual entry with meticulous attention to detail.
Consolidating consignments for distribution.
Each worker has their own assignments but must understand how their assignment contributes to the entire order and work effectively. Communication is key; if they are running behind or ahead of schedule, they should communicate with supervisors or team leads to decide on appropriate actions.
Pallet movement and work planning.
Ability to work to driven targets, meet SLA and manage time efficiently.
Boxing and unboxing IT equipment.
