As we prepare to open our newest venue in Richmond, we’re looking for a friendly and reliable Shop Assistant with barista experience to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a busy, buzzing environment where you’ll be contributing to a memorable experience for every guest. As a Shop Assistant, you’ll play an integral role in providing excellent customer service in our deli and shop, where you’ll be responsible for greeting customers, assisting with their orders, preparing hot drinks to a high standard, and maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the space. Key Responsibilities: Provide warm, attentive service to all guests Confidently prepare and serve a range of coffee and hot beverages to Ottolenghi standards Assist customers with food and retail orders, offering knowledgeable recommendations Maintain a clean, organised, and well-stocked shop and coffee station Support the team in daily opening and closing duties The Ideal Candidate: A minimum of 1 year of barista experience in a fast-paced hospitality or café setting Previous experience in a deli/shop assistant role or similar Passionate about food, coffee, and delivering exceptional customer service Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and a proactive approach A great team player who communicates effectively and thrives in a lively atmosphere A positive attitude and a willingness to contribute to our inclusive and warm team culture What’s in it for You: Flexible and fair hours &40;around 40–45 hours per week&41; with work/life balance 5 day shifts a week – no doubles or night shifts!
