SCVS (Swansea Council for Voluntary Service) is the umbrella organisation for voluntary activity throughout the City & County of Swansea, supporting, developing and representing voluntary organisations, volunteers and communities in the County.

We’re a friendly and collaborative staff team who encourage, support and celebrate each others successes; led and governed by a committed team of trustees who are passionate about our work.

Community Wellbeing Officer/s

Responsible to: Health and Wellbeing Partnerships Manager
Salary: NJC SCP 23 - 25 pro-rata (£33,366 - £35,235, appointment on a fixed point)
Duration: Until 31st March 2027
Hours of work: 38.5 hours available – this could be one 21 hour and one 17.5 hour post (hours open to negotiation at interview stage)
Location: Hybrid (SCVS / Social Services / Community / Home Working)

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of the community wellbeing team in the Swansea area.

The post is funded by Swansea Council as part of a grant to pilot an enhanced ‘Early Help’ offer by having a specific role to work collaboratively and creatively with Adult Services community teams and individuals on ways to support them to live as well and as independently as possible.

Involve has a variety of schemes that engage people in need in Swansea. Involve recruit, train and support volunteers to be in a befriending/ Independent visitor role on a one to one or in a group setting to meet the needs of individual children, young people, families, adults with various needs or older people.
