My Client is recruiting for a Service Engineer in the Water Sector
Field-based in Oxfordshire/Wiltshire/Gloucestershire - England and Wales wide at times
Permanent, Full-time, 37.5 hours

Our Client have a fantastic opportunity to join their leading, well respected water technologies company, where you will play a pivotal role giving clients the best in class quality service by providing on-site corrective/preventative maintenance and offering after-sales technical and commercial support. Once fully trained and competent you will be required to carry out occasional commissioning work on standard equipment, and provide after-sales technical and commercial support. As part of this role you will also be required to complete risk assessments, work reports, activity reports and other documentation. As part of the job role, you will be required to work at some weekends, during public holidays and be on an 'On-call rota' to provide out of hours cover and rapid response.
Some more brief responsibilities of a Service Engineer are:
To provide on-site corrective/preventative maintenance and offer after-sales technical and commercial support
A good knowledge and comprehensive understanding of the range of processes, procedures and systems to be used in carrying out assigned tasks and a basic understanding of the underlying concepts & principles upon which the job is based
To observe, abide by and enforce the Company's and client's Health & Safety policies
Carry out occasional commissioning work
Timely completion and submission of risk assessments work reports, time sheets and all other documentation
Timely completion of site tasks and activities as required
To propose and undertake any relevant training approved by your line manager
A good understanding of how the team integrates with other teams in order to achieve overall objectives of the area. This "integration" refers to the way teams coordinate their efforts and resources to achieve shared and individual objectives.
Offer feedback on future product development, features and functions
Provide regular updates to your line manager on any issues that may result in financial, reputational or operational impact on the Company
General requirements for the role:
Full UK Driving Licence
Mechanical/Electrical/Chemical Engineering qualification
Good communication skills, punctual, presentable, and be willing to learn and develop
Good communication skills with the ability to understand others needs and express information in a clear and concise manner
Water Sector experience is desirable
