What you will be doing
As a Solution Architect, you will:
* Lead the design, implementation, and governance of technology solutions.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams of internal and external SME’s to deliver solution architecture artefacts which underpin business change.
* Support the improvement of technology led change across the business to help promote a strong innovation culture.
* Remain informed of industry changes and technology evolution looking for opportunity to bring those changes to life at WG&S.
* Provide expert architectural and technical guidance to technology change initiatives ensuring compliance with Enterprise Architecture guidance and direction.
* Define technology architecture and solutions in line with our technology vision and roadmap.
* Lead architectural engagement with third-party vendors, ensuring proposed solutions align with architecture direction and industry best practice.
* Play an integral role in project delivery by providing expert architectural and technical guidance, while ensuring design thinking is embedded from the outset and throughout.
About You
You are a proactive professional with a strong analytical mind and a passion for information security.
To excel in this role, you should have:
* Strong, proven technical skills in defining and implementing technology solutions that align with organisational objectives.
* Demonstrated ability to create clear, high-quality solution architecture documentation for complex technologies.
* Exceptional problem-solving abilities, with the capability to translate technical concepts, designs and thinking into actionable insights for diverse audiences.
* Skilled at fostering collaboration within teams, inspiring colleagues, and contributing to shared objectives, plans, and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Proactive in supporting team development, driving continuous improvement, and aligning solution architecture with organisational goals.
* Strong communication, presentation and influencing skills capable of delivering insight and technical guidance to both peers and business colleagues.
* Experience operating within an Architecture lead environment governed by a Technical Design Authority.
* Display a natural curiosity and passion for technology and technology led innovation.
