Job Description Actuarial Manager – Fixed Term Contract within the Finance Central Services team. In this role you will sit at the heart of our actuarial reporting function and support annuity reporting by focusing on L&G Re legal entities. Your work will involve producing financial reporting to support sign‑off of quarterly reporting results by the Bermuda CFO. You will play a key part in delivering high‑quality financial insights to support business performance and drive continuous improvements. You’ll work closely with a wide range of stakeholders, translating complex actuarial outputs into clear and meaningful information while ensuring robust governance and regulatory compliance. Taking accountability for the production of financial results across all financial measures for any Actuarial work passed to Group Financial Operations by L&G Re. Disseminating financial information effectively and informatively, ensuring its presentation and analysis meet the background and experience of the customer base. Leading the relationship with the divisional Business Partner to ensure needs and compliance/internal governance frameworks are met, whilst prioritising tasks. Working in partnership with the divisional Business Partner to maximise the financial performance of the business unit. Keeping abreast of all regulations pertinent to the territories in which the Business Partner reports its financial results. Responding effectively to any one‑off requests in a timely manner. Identifying, developing and implementing innovative financial engineering solutions that meet regulatory and commercial needs. Engaging with other L&G business areas to centralise reporting functions.
Who we’re looking for
Nearly or fully qualified actuary with post‑qualification experience within a life insurance environment. Strong knowledge of IFRS and Solvency II reporting frameworks, as well as Bermudian equivalents. Proven experience in financial reporting and delivery of high‑quality outputs. Ability to communicate complex actuarial concepts clearly and effectively. Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills. Analytical mindset with sound judgement and attention to detail. Experience of driving process improvements and change initiatives. Collaborative approach with a focus on continuous improvement and delivery excellence.
