About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Business Studies Teacher to join our thriving department. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced educator to inspire and challenge students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, delivering high-quality business education in a supportive and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Business Studies lessons across KS3, KS4, and KS5
2. Teach a range of business topics including entrepreneurship, marketing, finance, operations, and strategic management
3. Assess, monitor and track student progress, providing constructive feedback
4. Contribute to curriculum development and departmental initiatives
5. Support students with examination preparation and coursework
6. Maintain accurate records and produce reports on student achievement
7. Participate in parents' evenings and school events
8. Contribute to the wider life of the school through extra-curricular activities
Essential Requirements
9. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK
10. Proven UK teaching experience in secondary education
11. Degree in Business Studies, Economics, or related field
12. Experience teaching Business Studies across KS3, KS4, and KS5
13. Strong knowledge of current business curriculum and examination requirements
14. Excellent classroom management and communication skills
15. Commitment to promoting high standards and student achievement
16. Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities
Desirable Requirements
17. Experience with A-Level Business Studies or equivalent qualifications
18. Knowledge of current exam board specifications (AQA, Edexcel, OCR)
19. Experience using educational technology and online learning platforms
20. Additional qualifications in related subjects (Economics, Accounting, etc.)
21. Experience in industry or business sector
