You will be responsible for working jointly with the Microbiologists and Antimicrobial Pharmacy Team while still maintaining a clinical pharmacy service to a specialist area.
The post holder will work as a Non-Medical Prescriber.
Main duties of the job
* To work jointly with the Microbiologists and Antimicrobial Pharmacy Team, providing expert advice on safe and effective antibiotic utilisation.
* To act as a role model for clinical pharmacy practice.
* To provide training for medical, nursing and pharmacy staff in antibiotic use
* To prescribe as appropriate for patients within the job holder's level of competence.

Education & Qualification
* Registered Pharmacist with General Pharmaceutical Council
* Mandatory CPD to maintain fitness to practice
* Postgraduate Diploma in Pharmacy Practice/ Clinical Pharmacy
* Prescribing Qualification
Knowledge
* Evidence of use of clinical IT systems
* Advanced level of clinical knowledge in antimicrobial therapy
Experience
* Experience in clinical pharmacy services in a UK NHS hospital
* Experience in delivering training and education
* Experience in audit
* Experience of delivering Medicines Management Standards and Policies
Skills & Abilities
* Methodical and organised
