Abbots Care is an award-winning domiciliary care company in Hertfordshire with a CQC rating of outstanding. Our community-based care assistants provide care to our service users within their own homes to help them remain as independent as possible. We are seeking kind and compassionate individuals to join our ever expanding team. We have been providing support and care within the community since 1995 to various different service user types including children and the elderly. The role of a care assistant is extremely rewarding and fulfilling, with many opportunities to develop within your career at Abbots including paid diplomas and job progression. We are currently recruiting for community care assistants to join our teams providing care in peoples own homes in the Broxbourne and surrounding areas. Previous experience in the care industry is not necessary as paid comprehensive training is provided by our Inhouse training department.
Responsibilities
* Providing support and care for our service users within their own homes.
* Supporting and assisting with personal care.
* Preparing meals and associated domestic tasks.
* Administering medication.
* Supporting your service user with their hobbies and social interests.
Requirements
* Full driving licence with access to your own car.
* Right to work in the UK.
Pay and hours
* Weekday rate £13.00 per hour; weekends £16.00 per hour. Working hours are typically between 7am–10pm with shift patterns of 7am–2pm and 4pm–10pm, including alternate weekends.
* Contract types: zero-hour contracts, part-time and full-time contracts up to 40 hours per week with hourly rates of £12.82 per hour weekdays and £15.00 per hour weekends.
* Paid mileage of 40p per mile.
* Paid training and DBS.
* Ongoing opportunities for additional training and progression including Level 2 and 3 Diplomas.
