This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Radiographer to join our diagnostic clinical services in a purpose-built Specialist Diagnostics & Dental Centre. Featuring state-of-the-art facilities including MRI, CT, X-ray, and mammography, the centre will deliver a wide range of outpatient and diagnostic services across multiple specialities.

You'll be a subject matter expert with leadership experience with significant post qualification experience in CT and Xray. You'll form part of a team of senior radiographers and be responsible for the daily management of the CT service in liaison with the Operational Site Lead Radiographer; organising the daily work schedule to ensure that the department runs efficiently. You'll ensure high quality, safe service, and provide at all times world-class customer service.
About the Centre
The Centre's secondary care services including muscle, bone and joint, orthopaedics, pain and spinal, dental and maxillofacial, breast and gynaecology, dermatology, cardiac, musculoskeletal, spinal, and urology, ENT, and will be able to perform simple procedures onsite.
The diagnostic centre houses the latest state-of-the-art technology;
* 3T Siemens scanner
* Somatom Force CT scanner
* X-ray
* Ultrasound
* A serene women health unit providing one stop breast care services
* Gynae unit.
The centre provides rapid-access to numerous specialities, and is operational Monday to Friday 8:00am to 20:00pm, and Saturday 8:00am to 14:00pm .
How you'll help us make health happen:
The Lead Radiographer is a subject matter expert within this specialist modality. You'll managing a team of CT senior radiographers, whilst working collaboratively with the wider MDT. Your duties / responsibilities will include;
* Perform high-quality CT and X-ray examinations in line with departmental protocols.
* Lead on the daily operations and organise work schedules for efficiency within your department.
* Leading a team of Senior and Junior CT Radiographers and new starters. Staff mentoring, daily operational management, strategic planning to ensure high quality, safe and effective delivery of patient centred imaging service.
* Leading on compliance with safety standards, IR(ME)R regulations, and hospital policies.
* Leading on clinical audits and equipment quality assurance
* You'll develop and maintain staff rotas to ensure optimal staff provision in the CT department.
* Supervise the professional standards and operational management of the rotating staff and their training in the CT department, ensuring a consistent level of service is maintained at all times.
* Accurately analyse the acquired data, record results and produce high quality images for reporting.
Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:
* BSc or DCR in Radiography (essential)
* Evidence of CPD and Postgraduate Certificate in CT ( essential)
* Experience with Siemens CT, cardiac ( essential)
* State registration – HCPC ( essential)
* Ability to work independently and make sensible clinical decisions, based on best practice.
