Overview:
We are partnering with a fast-growing accessories brand to find a commercially savvy Senior Product Developer. This is a three-day-a-week role, ideal for an experienced professional—perhaps someone returning to work or someone juggling other freelance projects. You’ll be an integral part of the team, working closely with the design lead and global production partners.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with the Designer on initial product development, ensuring commercial viability of accessories.
* Curate trend boards with a strong eye for fashion and high street trends, using advanced Adobe Illustrator skills.
* Drive the product development process, coordinating with the production manager in China to manage order timelines and samples.
* Liaise with external production agents, ensuring timely delivery and quality control.
* Maintain organized workflows, using Excel skills to track production schedules, costs, and samples.
* Ensure all products align with fast fashion commercial standards, with a key focus on the high street market.
Key Skills & Experience:
* Extensive experience in product development within the high street fashion sector
* Proven track record working with Chinese suppliers and production agents, ensuring smooth execution from concept to delivery.
* Strong Adobe Illustrator skills for creating trend boards and visual concepts.
* Exceptional organization, with a meticulous approach to managing timelines and project milestones.
* Commercially minded with a deep understanding of fast fashion cycles, pricing, and consumer demand.
* Technical knowledge of product development, though not highly complex—familiarity with adjustable straps, bags, and belts is a bonus.
