Hourly pay rate: £12.71 - I am looking for a special person to support my lovely 11year old son for 6 hours a week during school holidays. He has a diagnosis of Autism and developmental delay and is non-verbal. He has behaviours which challenge and high levels of sensory seeking behaviour. He is doubly incontinent and may soil or smear his faeces if given the opportunity. He is diagnosed with PICA and will try eating anything and everything including wallpaper, bedding, screws unless appropriately supervised and supported not to. He has mobility issues and uses a wheelchair but can walk with reins, this can take time, he can go in the car or on the bus. He is very active child and likes to be on the go constantly - he loves running, jumping and climbing, Paw Patrol and water play. He has no sense of danger awareness and is unaware the dangers of crossing a main road. He needs constant 1:1 supervision when he is out in the community due to his challenging behaviours and lack of danger awareness. With your support I will be able to spend some quality time with my other children. You will need to have experience of working with a child with Autism, be patient and kind and take time to get to know my lovely little boy.
