Overview
Assistant General Manager – support the flagship M&S Distribution Centre in Bradford, the heart of ambient food and beverages, wine and spirits distribution for the M&S store estate domestically and internationally.
Responsibilities
* Overall operations, reporting directly to the General Manager and collaborating with Operations, QHSE, HR, Finance and Inventory to ensure efficient functioning and alignment to organisational goals.
* Build strong relationships with M&S and internal GXO stakeholders.
* Assist in budget development and monitor financial performance against targets.
* Analyse financial reports and recommend strategies for cost optimisation and revenue enhancement.
* Review operational performance with a view to driving a culture of continuous improvement.
Qualifications
* Significant experience in logistics (ideally food or FMCG) with substantial line management experience operating at a senior level.
* Proven success in delivering cost management processed in both open and closed book operations.
* Strong continuous improvement background with the ability to drive tangible change and the delivery of cost saving initiatives.
* Experience of working with customers at a senior level.
