Teaching Assistant
College location:East Surrey College (Redhill)
Hours: Term Time only - Monday - Friday8:30am-5:00pm
Start Date : 19th August 2025
We are currently seeking to appoint a compassionate, resilient, and dedicated Teaching Assistant to support students aged 14–16 who are currently unable to access mainstream education.
In this rewarding role, you will provide tailored support to students, helping them re-engage with learning, build confidence, and develop strategies to manage their emotional wellbeing. You will work closely with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and external agencies to ensure each student receives the support they need to thrive both academically and personally.

The successful candidate must:
* Have excellent communication skills
* Be patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to supporting vulnerable students.
* Experience working with young people with SEMH or similar additional needs is highly desirable
* Be qualified to at least level 2 in Literacy and Numeracy
* A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant Certificate) is desirable.
* Have competent IT Skills and the ability to use Word, Excel and Outlook
* Experience of supporting students in a College or School environment
