Audit and Accounts Director, Guildford, Surrey (Partner Designate)
£75,000 – £90,000 + Benefits | Hybrid Working
Fletcher George Recruitment is supporting an established independent firm of Chartered Accountants in Guildford, Surrey with the appointment of an Audit and Accounts Director as part of its long-term succession planning.
This opportunity sits within a firm with a strong local reputation and a loyal client base built over many years. The role has been created to support future leadership, offering a clear and credible route to Partner within a collaborative and relationship-led environment.
The Firm
You will join a well-established independent firm of Chartered Accountants with a strong presence across Guildford and the wider Surrey market.
The firm works closely with a broad portfolio of long-standing clients, including owner-managed businesses, private clients, corporate groups and charities. Much of the work is relationship-led, with senior team members actively involved in supporting clients over the long term.

The Role – Audit and Accounts Director, Guildford
As an Audit and Accounts Director based in Guildford, Surrey, you will take on a key leadership role within the firm, combining client delivery with strategic input.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Leading audit engagements and overseeing delivery across a varied client portfolio
* Reviewing statutory accounts prepared under UK GAAP (FRS 102)
* Providing advisory support across business planning, technical accounting and growth strategy
* Working closely with Partners on succession planning and the future direction of the firm
* Building and maintaining strong client relationships across Surrey and the South East
* Supporting business development activity and contributing to the firm’s continued growth
* Mentoring and developing team members within an ACA / ACCA training environment
About You
We are keen to speak with individuals who bring:
* ACA or ACCA qualification
* Strong experience across audit and accounts within a UK accountancy practice
* Experience operating at Senior Manager or Director level
* A commercial and collaborative approach to client relationships
* Leadership capability with a genuine interest in developing others
* A long-term view towards Partnership
