Position Purpose Summary:
The Group Senior Insurance Officer demonstrates a strong track record in corporate claimsmanagement and global corporate insurance programme (non-financial and financial lines) placement and policy administration. The role supports the liaison between group holding company, its international subsidiaries, and beIN Media Group’s brokers, insurers and internal teams, working primarily within the high-profile media, sports and entertainment media sectors. The role assistsin managing beIN Media Group’s corporate insurance programmes, supporting the annual group renewal process, property loss and asset protection (risk engineering surveys) programmes, as well as contributes to identify and delivercost-effective insurance solutions that align with the organization’s requirements.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Global Policy Coordination
* Assist in coordinating the organization’s entire corporate insurance programmes, including Property, Casualty, Directors & Officers (D&O), Errors & Omissions (E&O), Cyber, Personal Accident and other specialized lines.
* Ensure the organisation’s coverage is aligned with the local regulatory requirements across all subsidiaries and territories.
Renewal & Negotiations
* Support with the annual insurance renewal process, collaborate with brokers and insurers to secure optimal programme coverage terms, limits, and adequate premiums, as well as reduce overall total cost of insurance spending, while maintaining robust coverage.
Claims Administration & Support
* Collect, analyze, and prepare data on all claims; coordinate the end-to-end claims process, from initial notification and documentation through resolution and settlement.
* Engage with internal stakeholders, external claims advisor and loss adjusters, and counsel to facilitate timely claims settlement, payouts, minimize financial exposure, and legal obligations.
Group Insurance Management Services
* Assist and organize site inspections/ coordinate and liaise with insurers on surveys.
* Undertaking initiatives to manage crisis related incidents in connection with insurance programs.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
* Work closely with Finance, Legal, Compliance, HR, Technology – IT, Information Security, General Services / Operations and operational units worldwide to ensure the insurance strategies are aligned with the organisation’s entire business and risk management objectives.
* Assist in providing insights on insurance-related third-parties insurance requirements, contract clauses, indemnities, and regulatory standards.
* Support with the preparation of management reports to provide regular updates and periodical reports to support informed decision-making on all insurance matters.
* Support with the preparation of annual budget estimation and other ad-hoc management reports on all insurance matters.
Market Intelligence & Vendor Management
* Liaise with brokers, insurers, and other industry service providers.
* Stay abreast of market developments, regulatory changes, and emerging products to advise the company on potential improvements and cost-saving opportunities.
