Join our Wastewater (Sewage) team as a frontline Technician Apprentice and play a vital role in keeping our sites and equipmentoperatingsafely, reliably, and efficiently. This is your chance to build along-termcareer with Anglian Water and make a real impact on the environment and our communities.
You’llsplit your time between college learning andhands-onexperience across our operational sites.You’llsupport the wastewater recycling process—collecting,treatingand cleaning wastewater before returning it safely to our rivers and seas.
This is a practical, outdoor role where no two days are the same.It’svaried, rewarding, and occasionally challenging, butyou’llbe part of a supportive team who will help you grow into a skilled technician. Once qualified,you’lljoin a24/7 standby rotabecause your role is vital.

Whatyou’lldo
1. Inspect,maintainand care forequipmentsuch as meters,radarand ultrasonic devices
2. Supportwith alarm calls out (when trained)
3. Aim to provide a 1sttime fix for faults
4. Work and learn alongside experienced mechanical and electrical technicians and follow health & safety rules
5. Follow all health & safety procedures
6. Take ownership of your development and contribute to team success
Whatwe’relooking for
7. English, Maths and Science (grades 9–4/A*–C) - predicted grades will be accepted if you have not yet completed your exams. Level 2 Functional Skills will also be accepted.
8. A genuine interest in the water industry and protecting the environment

10. Willingness to work outdoors and learn new skills
If you do not currently hold a full UK driving licence, you’ll need to obtain one by the end of year two of the programme, or if this isn’t possible due to your age, within one year of your 17th birthday.
