We are proud to be an award winning Nursery and we are looking for an outstanding Deputy Manager to join our beautiful Dunton Park Nursery in Laindon.
Deputy Manager Responsibilities and Duties:
* To deliver and ensure a high standard of learning, development and care for children aged 0-5 years.
* To develop partnerships with parents/carers to increase involvement in their child's development.
* To support the manager when based in the office and deputise in the managers absence.
* To support the manager in the day to day running of the nursery
* To develop partnerships with parents/carers to increase involvement in their child's development.
* To support the room you are based in and oversee the floor practice by staff.
* To ensure that your room is a safe environment for children, staff and others.
* To ensure responsibility for the effective daily running of your room
* To have a sound knowledge of Company policies, procedures and expectations
* To act as an excellent role model to the staff team being able to showcase high quality practice in all areas
* To take responsibility for excellent hygiene, health and safety and security practice within the nursery.
* To support your room team in planning and providing appropriate daily activities in line with guidance from the EYFS
* To uphold the highest level of safeguarding practice and ensure company policies and procedures are adhered to at all times
* To manage and supervise observation, assessment and planning within your room, ensuring all children are making progress
* To work with outside professionals where required
* To work closely with parents and create trusting relationships with all families
Requirements and Qualifications:
* Minimum level 3 in early years or equivalent
* Knowledge of the Early Years Sector
* Good standard of English and Maths at GCSE A-C or equivalent
* 2 years or more experience of working in a nursery or similar environment
* Experience of being a room manager or managing a small team
* Excellent working knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage and current Ofsted framework
