Job Description: Insolvency Associate Solicitor (3 PQE) Location: Central Manchester Practice Area: Insolvency (Contentious & Non-Contentious) Contract: Full-time, Permanent The Firm We are a top-tier, market-leading commercial law firm based in the heart of Manchester. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an ambitious Insolvency Associate Solicitor (3 PQE) to join our respected team. The Role As an Insolvency Associate, you will play a key role in a thriving and highly ranked restructuring and insolvency practice. You will work across a broad range of both contentious and non-contentious insolvency matters, with the opportunity to develop specialist expertise and take on high-quality, complex work. Key responsibilities include: Advising insolvency practitioners, lenders, directors and creditors on all aspects of corporate insolvency and restructuring. Acting on administrations, liquidations, CVAs, bankruptcies and director advisory matters. Handling contentious insolvency litigation including antecedent transactions, misfeasance claims, enforcement, asset recovery and related commercial disputes. Drafting and negotiating restructuring agreements, security documentation, appointments and transactional support. Assisting with distressed acquisitions/sales and advising on insolvency-related corporate transactions. Providing robust regulatory and technical advice relating to the Insolvency Act and associated legislation. Managing your own caseload with appropriate supervision and contributing to larger team matters. Building and maintaining strong client relationships and supporting business development activities. About You We are looking for a driven and commercially minded solicitor with: 3 years' PQE in restructuring & insolvency, gained at a reputable commercial, regional or national firm. Experience (or strong interest) in both contentious and non-contentious insolvency work. A solid understanding of insolvency legislation, procedure and commercial implications. Strong analytical, drafting and advocacy skills. The ability to manage a busy caseload, work collaboratively, and communicate effectively with clients and colleagues. A proactive approach with enthusiasm to contribute to a growing and dynamic team.
