The team you’ll be joining
You will join a dynamic team of product and design professionals focused on delivering value for EML. We aim to build a secure global payments platform with exceptional, user-friendly products and services.
The Role
As a Product Owner, you will ensure effective fraud detection and prevention capabilities, working closely with cross-functional teams to implement screening, identify and prevent fraudulent transactions, and reduce financial losses while maintaining customer trust.
Fraud: Real-time detection and prevention across card, merchant, web, and apps. Implement fraud metrics, monitor transactions, and identify discrepancies.
Screening: Set up and monitor Name Screening (Sanctions, PEPs, Media), Transaction Screening, alerts, and black/whitelists.
KYB/KYC: Implement and verify KYB and KYC processes to ensure compliance and prevent financial crimes.
Limits & Controls: Manage risks with funding, spending limits, controls on cash access, and geographical restrictions.
Transaction Monitoring: Set rules and alerts to detect suspicious activities and escalate cases as per regulations.
What you’ll do
* Define and communicate the vision for defend and protect capabilities, aligning with business objectives and regulations.
* Develop and maintain a product roadmap with features, milestones, and timelines.
Stakeholder Management
* Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to gather requirements and feedback.
* Build relationships with third parties for seamless implementation and success.
Product Development & Execution
* Work with technical and design teams to translate ideas into user stories and deliver features.
* Oversee product lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.
Customer Experience & Value
* Ensure a seamless, user-friendly experience for customers and partners.
* Drive engagement and satisfaction through straightforward defend and protect features.
Data Analysis & Insights
* Use data to inform product decisions, optimize performance, and identify improvements.
* Provide regular reports to senior management.
Market Research & Competitive Analysis
* Monitor industry trends and regulations to keep capabilities ahead of market shifts.
Partner Engagement
* Understand partner goals and create mutual value.
* Support partners with tools and resources.
Subject Matter Expert
* Consult with sales and regional teams for new features and opportunities.
* Be the platform expert in sales contexts.
What you’ll bring
3-5 years of experience as a Product Owner or Manager, preferably in fintech, with experience in defend and protect capabilities and external partnerships.
Skills
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Analytical mindset with data-driven decision skills.
* Strategic thinking and prioritization abilities.
Technical Knowledge
* Familiarity with Agile, Jira, Confluence.
* Understanding of payment solutions, fraud detection tools, and data management.
Education
* Bachelor's degree in business, Computer Science, or related field.
