SCP, part of the RSK Group, is looking for a Principal Infrastructure Engineer to join their team on a full time, permanent basis. Key Responsibilities
* Maintain and develop technical or management capability through CPD, arranging and attending internal and external training seminars regularly and present key points to colleagues.
* Expected to work across different offices where required as part of a multidisciplinary team working on a project and to take direction and instruction from the lead engineer on these projects.
* Provide technical leadership in at least one of the key core skills of the business and hold a solid understanding of other core skills of the business, how they are coordinated with the capability of managing the coordination.
* Ability to manage external resources and suppliers and hold sufficient experience to challenge, where appropriate items such as designs, fees and programme and review terms and conditions.
* Ability to review concept designs and provide value engineering solutions to projects and present the benefits of solutions to clients and the wider design team.
* Understanding of the stages of design and the detailed output required at each stage within your chosen field of expertise.
Person Specification
* Engineer with circa 10+ years relevant work experience
* Prior knowledge of the full engineering / development process.
* Educated to degree level or HNC level with relevant further learning experience.
* Professionally qualified to IEng level or above with relevant professional body.
* Self-motivated and ambitious.
* A good self-manager of time and work.
