Overview
This is an opportunity for a senior manager to join the Digital Services team, taking a key leadership role in the effective management and delivery of the Trust's core clinical and business applications. The postholder will be responsible for ensuring that all software application projects and changes to live systems are planned and implemented in a controlled and effective manner, adhering to established ITIL standards and the Digital Services Change Request Policy.
A primary focus of the role will be to provide leadership to a specialist team, motivating staff and facilitating change effectively. The successful candidate will work closely with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including clinical staff, technical teams, and third-party suppliers, to ensure the Trust's systems deliver value and support the highest standards of patient care.
Responsibilities
* Accountable for managing changes to the Trust's live multi-user systems, ensuring they are implemented with minimal disruption and in line with the Digital Services Change Request process.
* Act as a key contributor to the Change Advisory Board and ensure the impact of any changes is thoroughly assessed and evaluated before deployment.
* Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of hospital systems to advise the Trust on their best use, and translate complex national information mandates for local implementation.
* Lead and develop the application management team, establishing them as subject matter experts on the use of applications.
* Coordinate the incident management response for software failures, manage high-priority issues with suppliers, and maintain a forward schedule of change and product roadmaps.
