This respected regional firm is now seeking a Commercial Property Paralegal to join its busy and expanding property department. ROLE: Commercial Property Paralegal
LOCATION: Chelmsford, Essex
SALARY: £25,000 to £30,000 DOE and interview performance
The Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded and detail-focused paralegal with experience in commercial property matters. You will be supporting senior solicitors and partners on a broad caseload, including:
1. Drafting and preparing leases, licences, and contract documentation
2. Managing files for sales and purchases of freehold and leasehold commercial property
3. Conducting legal research, title investigations and preparing reports
4. Liaising with clients, local authorities, and third parties
5. Assisting with post-completion work including SDLT returns and Land Registry applications
About You
6. A relevant legal qualification (LPC / LLM / LLB) is essential
7. At least 6-12 months of relevant experience in commercial property (within private practice or in-house legal team)
8. A strong academic background, ideally with a completed law degree or equivalent legal qualification
9. Excellent communication skills and a proactive, professional attitude
10. Strong organisational and time management skills
