Learning Support Assistant

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work in the school that prides itself on its nurturing environment, and they are seeking a Learning Support Assistant who shares their commitment to putting children at the heart of everything they do.
The successful Learning Support Assistant will work closely with class teachers to support pupils in Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2, including those with Special Educational Needs. The role includes 1:1 support, small x2011;group interventions, general classroom assistance, and contributing to a positive and safe learning environment where every child feels supported and valued.
Key Responsibilities of the Learning Support Assistant
* Welcoming pupils each morning and helping them transition smoothly into the school day
* Building trusting, supportive relationships to ensure pupils feel safe, happy and confident
* Supporting learning in class and through small x2011;group activities
* Helping pupils develop social skills and build relationships with peers
* Supporting emotional wellbeing, resilience and independence
* Assisting with lunchtime and breaktime duties
* Participating in school trips and wider enrichment activities
