Base pay range
Core subject (Maths, English, or Science) SEN / SEND Tutors for Young People with SEND, SEMH, and other Additional Educational Needs required in Shropshire.
Multiple positions are available and hiring is ongoing to meet the wide variety of needs we support.
We are on a mission to transform the quality of education provided to young people with SEN (Special Education Needs) / SEND (Special Education Needs and Disabilities), as well as other needs such as SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health). We are increasing support for children and young people with MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties) and SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties).
We are looking for SEN / SEND tutors with a genuine passion for transforming the lives of disengaged, at-risk, and vulnerable learners in Shropshire.
At Targeted Provision, our mission is to raise the standard of educational support offered to vulnerable young people in the UK. We keep the team around the child, and you will be supported throughout every placement by our team of SEN / SEND Support Specialists.
This role is ideal for qualified SEN / SEND teachers eager to work via 1:1 tutoring with children and young people with diverse learning needs, in a creative, flexible, holistic, and trauma-informed manner, to increase their engagement and improve their educational outlook.

The SEN / SEND Tutor Role
* Providing Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other Additional Educational Needs referred by local authorities and schools
* Supporting students in their educational and social-emotional development through flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
Responsibilities
* Planning engaging and holistic sessions tailored to each young person's needs
* Completing lesson reports and providing feedback on progress
Requirements
* Professional Teaching Qualifications (QTS / QTLS)
* Minimum of 2 years teaching experience
* Experience working with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or similar needs
* Knowledge of safeguarding procedures
* Enhanced DBS (assistance available to obtain)
* Two professional references
* Must be based in the UK with right to work, even for remote roles
It is essential that you promote health, safety, and wellbeing and follow safeguarding policies at all times.
Employment Status
* Engagement as a Worker for short-term placements, paid via PAYE
* No set work amount or expenses covered; insurance provided
* This is not a self-employed role
