Established manufacturing company based in Redditch requires an Accounts Administrator to join their expanding team.
Reporting directly to the account’s manager, duties will include being responsible for processing customer payments, maintaining accurate sales ledger records and producing reports.
Accounts Administrator duties will include:
* Process customer receipts in GBP, EUR, and USD from online banking systems, credit cards, and PayPal into Excel and accounting systems
* Accurately match payments to customer accounts, remove credit stops, and notify sales teams of pro-forma invoice payments
* Investigate and resolve credit balances and anomalies in a timely manner
* Liaise with internal teams to resolve queries and discrepancies efficiently
* Process customer refunds and payment adjustments as required
* Responsible for the management of GBP aged debt, following up and chasing overdue payments on a monthly basis
* Generate and distribute weekly sales figures from the accounting system.
* Perform regular account reconciliations
* Balance sales ledger figures at month-end and generate aged debtor reports and customer statements
* Proactively resolve internal and external account queries, including issuing copy invoices upon request
* Send and process customer credit account applications
* Monitor online banking accounts for unusual or suspicious activity
* Perform inter-account transfers as requested using online banking systems
Skills required by Accounts Administrator:
* Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet month end deadlines
* Previous experience working in a finance or accounts team
Location: Redditch, Worcestershire
Hours of work: 26 hours per week, ideally over 5 days but can be flexible with this
Pay: £14 per hour
Contract: Temporary to permanent
