Account Director

Orbit Communications are looking for an Account Director or Senior Account Manager to join their Edinburgh team and play a central role across client leadership, team management and business growth.
This is a hands-on senior role within one of Scotland’s best-established communications agencies, working across PR, public affairs, stakeholder engagement and integrated communications campaigns.

How you’ll make your mark
* Manage client relationships and develop strategic account plans
* Deliver high-quality PR, public affairs and stakeholder engagement campaigns
* Provide strategic communications advice and day-to-day client support
* Coordinate internal team delivery to ensure work is completed on time and within budget
* Build and maintain relationships with journalists, political stakeholders and community partners
* Support clients in influencing decision-making processes and stakeholder relationships
* Lead or contribute to new business pitches and growth opportunities
* Line manage and mentor junior colleagues
* Work closely with the Managing Director to support wider team development and agency growth
* Identify opportunities to introduce additional agency services that support client objectives
What you'll bring
We are looking for a confident, strategic and commercially aware communications professional with:
* Proven agency experience at Account Director or Senior Account Manager level
* Strong expertise in stakeholder engagement, PR and public affairs
* Knowledge of working with the Scottish Parliament and Local Authorities
* Experience managing multiple client accounts and priorities
* Strong business development and client-facing skills
* Excellent communication, leadership and relationship-building abilities
* Strong organisational and project management skills
* Commercial awareness and understanding of agency operations
* Excellent Microsoft Office skills
