The area of consideration includes citizens, permanent residents, and legal residents of the US who reside within a 60-mile radius of RAF Fairford, UK, or will do so within 30 days. US residents must be citizens of a NATO country unless authorized to reside in the UK as a dependent of a US service member.
Applicants cannot be 'ordinarily resident', defined as residing in the UK for more than 366 days without US Visiting Forces affiliation. Time spent in the UK as a US employee or dependent does not count towards this period.
British citizens (including dual citizens) are ineligible to apply for US NAF positions but may apply for local national positions.
Experience Requirements
Qualifying experience must be supported in your resume and may include paid, unpaid, or volunteer work. Education transcripts are required if qualifications are based on education.
* Experience in food preparation and presentation in a food service environment.
* Ability to follow instructions, work safely, and perform basic arithmetic.
* Knowledge of food service equipment, food characteristics, seasoning, and determining when food is done.
* Physical ability to lift objects up to 40 pounds frequently.
* Ability to stand, walk, stoop, reach, push, pull, and bend for long periods.
