An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Intermediary Lending Team in the newly created role of Relationship Support. This is an exciting time for The Society as we grow our Intermediary Proposition. This is a full time permanent role, although part time/family friendly hours will be considered.
About the Role
You will support a small cohort of Intermediary Relationship Managers (“IRM”) to develop and manage relationships across a defined panel of intermediaries. The support provided will be primarily via telephony and videocall, although there may be occasional face to face engagement. You will support the achievement of lending budgets, case packaging quality, and customer service objectives. You will be the supporting point of contact for Intermediary Firms looking to place Residential, Holiday Let & BTL business, working with them to ensure delivery of an excellent customer experience. You will provide simple lending policy guidance and an efficient pre-application service to ensure fully packaged cases, helping to build strong working relationships.
About You
Ideally you will have previous experience in a mortgage related role. CeMAP or a similar mortgage qualification, knowledge of the UK mortgage marketplace and good knowledge of mortgage products and lending policies would be advantageous however not essential, as full training can be provided.
First class communication and presentation skills are required along with the ability to self-manage effectively. Strong negotiation, influencing and problem resolution skills are essential, with the ability to build a strong rapport and trust among your key relationships. A team player, you will enjoy working as part of a dynamic team.
Location
The role is currently home based although may occasionally involve travel to and from industry events and client meetings. The successful candidate will also be willing to travel to our Head Office at Cumberland House, Carlisle as and when required.
