The Role
This position provides support to the Aftersales Warehouse Planning and Operations Manager through focusing on packaging related topics
The Packaging Support Associate standard operating hours are Monday – Friday 06:30 to 15:00 with the occasional extended day around client requirements which will be pre-approved and communicated.
The job will be based predominantly from the UK Aftersales warehouse, Bognor Regis. Occasional working from home can also be supported.
Key accountabilities
● Evaluating the packaging requirements of parts, bespoke and accessories business. Determine the appropriate materials: Identify protective materials that can be used between components to prevent damages during transportation. This could include foam padding, cardboard dividers, bubble wrap, or any other suitable materials that can provide cushioning and protection
● Development of packaging concepts with part and packaging suppliers based on global distribution requirements. This will reduce damages on receipt and ensure consistency in delivery quality. Ensure that packaging concepts take into consideration factors such as weight distribution, load capacity, and stability.
● Proactive review of packaging concepts for improvements and cost saving initiatives. ● Root cause analysis based on feedback from our customers. Implement containment measures and corrective packaging concepts to reduce damages and optimise transport efficiency.
● Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and take corrective actions
● Support of all-time buy and launch projects with packaging concepts.
● Liaison with the wider Aftersales Parts Operations team, 3PL warehouse service providers and Parts Quality service provider
● Supporting the operations manager in tenders and data submissions (sustainability, waste, etc.). Cataloguing of packaging drawings.
● Escalations towards packaging supplier and meeting participation with suppliers on packaging improvements.

● Facilitating the call-off of parts from our off-site storage facility to the central distribution warehouse for orders or replenishment activities.
● Logistics quality support. Including non-conformance reporting, facilitating corrective action and supplier re-charges. Ensure proper handling of non-conforming materials and associated reporting on inbound quality performance.
