Job Title: Registered Manager Location: 8-Bed Learning Disability Residential Home (Young Adults) Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 per annum Hours: 40 hours per week (flexible to meet the needs of the service) Annual Leave: 6.6 weeks pro rata (including bank holidays) Reports to: Operations Manager About the Role We are seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead an 8-bed residential service for young adults with learning disabilities. This is an exciting opportunity to shape and drive a high-quality service, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and promoting person-centred care. You will oversee the day-to-day running of the home, manage and develop the staff team, and ensure the highest standards of care, safety, and wellbeing for each resident. The role involves strong leadership, operational management, and a commitment to creating a supportive, empowering environment for both service users and staff. Key Responsibilities * Ensure the home operates in line with CQC standards and all statutory requirements. * Provide strong leadership, governance, and effective risk management. * Oversee care quality, support plans, and safeguarding practices. * Lead and develop the staff team through supervision, training, and performance management. * Manage budgets, staffing levels, and resources effectively. * Foster positive relationships with families, professionals, and external agencies. * Investigate and resolve complaints in line with company policy. * Drive continuous improvement, quality initiatives, and business development. * Participate in on-call management and senior leadership meetings. Person Specification Essential: * NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Adult Care * Minimum 5 years’ managerial or supervisory experience in a relevant environment. * Strong understanding of CQC regulations, safeguarding, and statutory frameworks. * Proven ability to lead teams, manage budgets, and oversee care quality. * Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills. * Full UK driving licence.
