About the Business
A great opportunity to become a Management Accountant for a successful care business with offices based in Wolverhampton. This is a flexible role that only requires you to go into the office twice a week.
Main Duties:
As a Management Accountant, your main duties include:
* Compile monthly management accounts, including insightful commentary and variance analysis.
* Support the Financial Controller with the year-end process, including audit preparation.
* Assist the Financial Controller in enhancing systems and processes to strengthen the finance/reporting function’s efficiency and reliability.
* Contribute to the timely and accurate production of weekly, monthly, and annual management reports.
* Help develop precise and timely forecasts and budgets to support business planning.
* Carry out ad-hoc tasks and provide assistance to the Financial Controller to meet business requirements.
* Reconcile revenue and prepare accurate accrued income schedules.
* Review purchase ledger, cash book, and petty cash transactions to ensure correct posting to the nominal ledger.
* Calculate and record prepayments, accruals, and other necessary month-end adjustments.
* Reconcile control accounts for main ledgers and validate all debtor/creditor balances.
* Maintain detailed fixed asset registers and process depreciation/amortisation journals for each accounting period.
* Provide support to other finance functions, including purchase ledger and sales ledger.
Location / Office / Culture
This a flexible hybrid role that only requires you to go into their offices in Wolverhampton 2 days a week with the remaining 3 days at home.
What We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
* Qualified or part-qualified Accountant (ACCA / CIMA / ACA)
* Competent and used to working within a fast-paced business operating many companies
* Understanding of accounting systems and IT
