Overview
Spinal Injury Support Worker - Night Shifts. This is an opportunity for experienced and dedicated Spinal Injury Support Workers to join Libertatem Healthcare Group's new client in Cardiff, working on a 2:1 ratio. The role involves providing care and support to individuals with spinal injuries, helping them live independently and with dignity in their own homes.
Role Details
Location: Cardiff
Salary: £17.50 per hour weeknights, £17.25 per hour Saturdays, £18 per hour Sundays
Job Type: Zero-hour contract
Shifts: 8pm-8am, 7 days per week. Full-time/part-time hours available. We also have sleeping night shifts available, 8pm-8am, 7 days per week, plus day shifts 8am-8pm, 7 days per week.
Key Responsibilities
* Assisting with personal care (washing, dressing, toileting)
* Respiratory management (cough assist/suctioning)
* Autonomic Dysreflexia management
* Preparing meals and supporting with nutrition
* Administering medication (training provided)
* Providing emotional support and companionship
* Supporting with mobility and physical activities
* Light housekeeping duties
* Catheter care and bowel management
What We’re Looking For
* Previous experience in a similar role, supporting clients with spinal injury, catheter care and bowel management
* A caring and compassionate nature
* Excellent communication skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* A valid UK driving licence essential to drive the WAV during shifts
