Nursery Practitioner – Barnsley
We’re registering Early Years Practitioners to support nurseries and school settings across Barnsley. Whether you’re experienced in private nurseries, school EYFS, or are looking to explore both, we’ll have a range of flexible opportunities available from September.
Roles may include day-to-day nursery work or support within primary school settings, particularly in EYFS and Key Stage 1.
What you’ll be doing:

Supporting children aged 0–5 in nursery or early years classrooms
*
Helping with learning through play, early literacy, and language development
*
Assisting with daily routines including toileting, snack time, and transitions
*
Building strong relationships with children, staff and families
*
Supporting key group activities and contributing to developmental observations
What we’re looking for:
*
A relevant Early Years or childcare qualification (Level 2 or Level 3 preferred)
*
Confidence working with babies, toddlers or early primary-aged children
*
A caring, patient and engaging approach
*
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
Pay: £13.69 – £14.75 per hour, depending on experience and setting.
