ICU Discharge to Assess Occupational Therapist
JustOT are looking to recruit an ICU Discharge to Assess Occupational Therapist for a locum position with our client in Barrow in Furness.
The pay for this position is up to GBP35 per hour, and we are looking for someone who can start as soon as possible for an ongoing duration.
Job Description
We require an Occupational Therapist to work primarily in our Intermediate Care Unit and Discharge to assess team. The role involves supporting the SW with screening new referrals to the unit, assessing residents for therapy needs, carrying out environmental visits and home visits as indicated, attending MDT meetings and providing therapy input and rehab as appropriate. The therapist will work alongside a Physio and an experienced band 3 OT therapy assistant. Support is provided from therapy team lead and clinical lead as well as other therapy colleagues. Car driver essential due to the need to carry out community visits. Notes are written on EMIS electronic records and Lorenzo.
There may, on occasion, be a need to cover other service streams such as home assessments for people being discharged from the acute hospital sites home or within the inpatient team and wellness centre (admission prevention team)
Successful candidates must hold a degree in occupational therapy and be HCPC registered.
