This is an office-based position supporting the Mortgage and Protection Adviser team. Due to continued success, more administrative support is required by our Financial Services Department to continue to provide an efficient, high quality and compliant service to their clients. Mortgage Support Administrators have a highly transferable set of knowledge, skills and behaviours that can be applied in all sectors. The role may involve working independently or as part of a team and will involve developing, implementing, maintaining, and improving administrative services.
A focus on adding value, the role of Mortgage Support Administrator contributes to the efficiency of the department and organisation as a whole providing excellent support to our customers during the mortgage application process.
Mortgage Support Administrators are expected to deliver their responsibilities efficiently and with integrity – showing a positive attitude. The role involves demonstrating strong communication skills (both written and verbal) and adopting a proactive approach to further development. Mortgage Support Administrators are also expected to show initiative, managing priorities and own time and problem-solving skills.
Job Description:
* Check documentation for new applications to ensure complete and meets FCA requirements
* Chase missing documentation from advisers and/or customers
* Create workflows and tasks for each application on the system ensuring service levels are maintained at all times
* Liaise with lenders to progress applications through to mortgage offer and completion (uploading supporting documentation to lender portals, and chasing for updates within service levels)
* Provide regular updates to customers on the status of their applications and be the first port of call for any queries
* Liaise with estate agents (internal and external), conveyancers and other 3rd parties to ensure a smooth and efficient journey for our customers
* Liaise with insurance providers and GP surgeries where necessary to ensure that policies are ready to be put in force at the necessary point to protect our customers
* Activate insurance policies for our customers on exchange of contracts to ensure they, and their home, are protected immediately
* General office duties such as filing, post, general correspondence etc.
* Answer telephone calls, take and distribute messages
* Build excellent relationships with customers, advisers and colleagues within the wider group and network
* To fully understand and operate Company policies and procedures
You will need:
* Experience in the Financial Services industry is advantageous but not essential
* Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
* A minimum of 2 years experience working in an administrative / secretarial role
* Excellent keyboard skills, competent in MS office
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to prioritise workload and work under pressure to meet deadlines
* Enthusiasm and self-motivation
* To project a friendly, cooperative and productive relationship with all group colleagues and sales offices
* An enthusiastic & high energy approach to work
* An understanding and patient approach to looking after our customers navigating the mortgage lending process
Expectations:
* A significant training program will be provided over a period of 12 months (dependent on initial experience) where you will build up to a proficient level to manage your own case load of in excess of 100 applications

Basic Salary - £25,500
OTE IRO £27,500, eligibility for bonus after 6 months of employment
