Site Engineer
Right now I’m looking for a Site Engineer to start ASAP for a role based in Essex. The project is a £50m new build and is currently in the ground.
As a Site Engineer, you will be the technical backbone on‑site, ensuring that construction and engineering projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest standards. You’ll work closely with a project manager, sub‑contractors, and design teams to bring blueprints to life.
Requirements for the Site Engineer
* SMSTS
* CSCS
* First aid (bonus)
* Knowledge of steel frame
* Main contractor experience
Responsibilities
* Carry out setting out, surveying and dimensional control for site works
* Interpret and work from drawings, specifications and construction information
* Support day‑to‑day engineering activities on site
* Assist with planning and coordinating works to meet programme deadlines
* Liaise with subcontractors, supervisors and the wider project team
* Ensure works comply with quality standards, specifications and tolerances
* Maintain accurate site records, as‑built information and site diaries
* Arrange and monitor material testing and calibration of equipment
* Promote and maintain high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance
* Support the site management team with additional duties as required
