About Secret Cinema and the Role:

Secret Cinema produces spectacular theatrical productions that give our audiences an unforgettable night out. Our shows combine the talents of world class theatre makers with Secret Cinemas unique approach to bringing immersive worlds to life. Following the success of Grease The Immersive Movie Musical in 2025, there are several other large scale productions in development.

Development / Associate Producers will incubate these projects, building viable commercial strategies while ensuring creative excellence, and then support the realisation of these highly ambitious projects throughout development and delivery.

Dates: Autumn 2025 - December 2026 (with potential to extend depending on project duration)
Commitment: These are full-time roles. Daily site attendance will be needed during pre-production and live phases.

Qualified candidates must be based in the greater London area. The salary range for these positions is 55,000 to 75,000, commensurate with experience.

Development Responsibilities:

* With the Lead Producer and Executive Producer, develop and hone project visions, creatively and commercially.
* Build theatrical models for investment, including format, pricing, and indicative production build and operating budgets
* Ensure that Secret Cinema is creating diverse and best in class projects - running world-class creative development and interrogating the audience experience
* Expand our network of high calibre creative teams
* Produce projects from ideation, defining Project Objectives, Target Audience, Initial Parameters (capacity, timings, flow), and identifying and managing project risks


Production & Live Responsibilities:

* Support producing teams across all areas of pre-production, including for example:
* Attendance at production and creative meetings, rehearsals, tech, previews and show run as required
* Recruitment and management of key roles
* Team coordination, including creative team, operational teams onsite, and venue
* Delegated operational decision making and risk management on behalf of Secret Cinema and the producing team
* Co-ordination of assets and print, including the show programme
* Planning, managing and optimising ancillary commercial activity, including Food, Beverage, Merchandise
* Planning and arrangement of opening night and special events
* Box Office, ticketing and customer service; including management of house seats, guest lists, and customer queries and complaints
* Incident management and follow-up as required
* Liaison with the marketing and PR teams around co-ordination of EPK, shoots and photography
* Raising of POs, and budget management as required, and supporting regular financial and project administration processes


Management & Resourcing Responsibilities:

* Recruitment, negotiation, supplier management, contracting, and onboarding
* Continuously improve the inclusivity of our Projects, for audiences and teams alike
* Manage resourcing and spend, setting, managing and reconciling budgets, approving POs and signing contracts


Communication & Learning Responsibilities:

* Represent Secret Cinema as required to internal and external stakeholders, including presentations
* Successfully manage and navigate complex relationships
* Work to continuously improve our processes and systems
Other tasks as required from time to time, inline with company objectives


Essential Experience:

* 5+ years commercial theatrical producing on best in class productions (West End equivalent), could be Development or Associate Producer or General Management.
* Strong personal network of theatrical collaborators, and experience working with top level artists.
* Experience managing creative teams through non-traditional development processes
* Familiarity with projects that include Live performance, Large scale set builds, Venue/Site operation.


Essential Skills:

* Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills, with a high attention to detail.
* Excellent project management skills; highly focussed and organised, and able to grasp and wrestle with complex challenges.
* Excellent budgeting and IT skills, including Excel/Sheets.

Additional Desired Experience:

* Experience working in both the UK and internationally (particularly the USA).
* Immersive event development, with an emphasis on practical and production.
* Experience activating and re-purposing sites for public use.
