Niyyah Community Enterprise CIC is a youth and community organisation based in the south of Birmingham, dedicated to empowering children, young people, and families. Since 2023, we’ve delivered weekly youth hubs, half term activities, and parent & carer programmes across South Birmingham.

We’re rooted in the community and passionate about providing safe spaces, opportunities, and experiences that build confidence, resilience, and aspiration.

The Role

We are recruiting Seasonal Youth Support Workers and Volunteers to join our growing team.

You’ll support the planning and delivery of:

* Weekly Youth Hub (ages 12+)
* Holiday and Half Term Camps (ages 5–16)
* Parent & Carer Support Groups

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in youth and community work, while making a direct impact on young people’s lives in Birmingham.

Responsibilities

* Support safe and inclusive delivery of activities (sports, creative arts, workshops, trips)
* Build positive relationships with children, young people, and families
* Encourage participation and confidence-building through engagement and role modelling
* Assist with set-up, delivery and pack-down of sessions
* Support monitoring, evaluation and reflective practice
* Promote Niyyah’s values of empowerment, inclusion, and community

About You

We’re looking for people who are:

* Passionate about working with children, young people, and communities
* Reliable, energetic, and positive team players
* Confident communicators who can build trust and rapport
* Open to learning and reflective in their practice
* Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and school holiday periods

Desirable:

* Experience in youth work, community work, sports coaching, teaching, or childcare
* DBS check (support available if needed)
* First Aid / Safeguarding training (desirable but not essential – training can be provided)

Pay & Benefits

Seasonal staff: £13–£15 per hour (based on experience)

Volunteers: Day rate available + benefits

Paid training and CPD opportunities (including accredited youth work and community development training)

Supportive and collaborative working environment
