Working alongside a dedicated team, you will be part of a service that provides specialist care within a CYPMHS Tier 4 Eating Disorder service for young people aged 12 to 18 with a primary diagnosis of an eating disorder.
You will work in an environment with a strong emphasis on teamwork, gaining hands-on experience with guidance and supervision from experienced healthcare professionals. You will have continuous access to a range of training opportunities to support your development.
Under supervision, you will be responsible for planning and facilitating evidence‑based group and individual programmes. You will build therapeutic rapport with service users to empower their recovery.

As an Occupational Therapist, you will be:
Providing comprehensive OT assessments
Under supervision, planning and reviewing OT treatment programmes
Under supervision, identifying and actioning referrals both in‑house (including support staff) and to external agencies
Supporting the planning, evaluation, and audit of practices, clinical pathways, and protocols at Brighton and Hove Hospital
Ensuring contemporaneous written and electronic records and activity data are maintained in line with professional and service standards
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
A Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy
A UK HCPC registration or evidence of application
Evidence of ability to research, plan, implement, and evaluate a project for specific groups
Effective written and verbal communication skills

Location: 14–18 New Church Road, Hove, East Sussex, BN3 4FH
You will work at Brighton & Hove Clinic, a service offering CYPMHS Tier 4 Eating Disorder support for young people aged 12 to 18 with a primary diagnosis of an eating disorder, or an eating difficulty with co‑morbid mental health or psychological issues such as depression, OCD, anxiety, or self‑harm.
We work actively with young people and their families to empower them to manage their illness in the community.
