About the Role
Are you ready to take your culinary career to the next level? We’re on the lookout for a Junior Kitchen Manager to join our vibrant Butlin's Buffets Department in Skegness!
In this exciting role, you’ll report directly to the Kitchen Manager and play a pivotal part in running our bustling kitchen. You’ll lead a fantastic team of chefs, stepping up in the Kitchen Manager's absence and ensuring that every dish served is a masterpiece.
Your passion for delivering exceptional experiences will shine through as you monitor performance and develop action plans focused on continuous improvement. With your strong leadership skills, you’ll inspire your team through daily briefings, manage stock control, and ensure that every plate looks as good as it tastes.
Financial performance is key, and you’ll be responsible for delivering food cost budgets through effective menu planning and cooking to our high standards. You’ll also uphold food hygiene standards and health and safety regulations, ensuring compliance with legislation and company policies.
As a role model for Butlin’s unique way of working, you’ll implement training schedules and performance development plans, motivating your team to create unforgettable experiences for our guests. Join us in our main buffet restaurant, where you’ll have the chance to lead and develop a talented team serving our half-board dining package guests.
Key Responsibilities
We’re looking for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment, as our buffet department serves up to 3,000 guests per service. Here’s what you’ll be doing:
* Support the Kitchen Manager in daily operations and team leadership.
* Ensure high standards of food quality and presentation.
* Manage stock control and maintain cost efficiency.
* Uphold health, safety, and hygiene standards.
* Foster a positive team culture and build strong relationships with team members.

You must have passed your Level 3 Food Safety qualification and be confident in leading a team to consistently deliver high standards in a busy kitchen environment. You’ll also manage margins and control costs while ensuring a safe and hygienic workspace.

This role covers a 5-day working week over 7 days, totaling 40 hours, including evenings and weekends. Please note that this position does not come with onsite accommodation.
