We maintain a clear focus on delivering high-quality, high-profile, multi-discipline, and multi-country projects, aiding clients in resolving their most complex IT and data challenges while prioritizing quality. We are part of a single integrated financial services team with over 250 people in the FS UK Technology Risk team, serving some of the largest financial services institutions globally.
As a Technology Risk Senior Manager you will be an influential member of our Technology Risk team, and you will have the opportunity to work on a range of IT Assurance and Advisory projects. These include IT Payments Internal Audit, IT components of Regulatory Reviews and other assurance activities with clear focus on payments domain, Cyber assurance, Emerging Technology risk including AI, Trust in Robotics Process Automation and other controls related work within FS. This portfolio also includes collaboration with our wider Assurance and Consulting colleagues to help clients protect their reputation by mitigating their business, financial reporting and IT risks, on a broad range of topics where design or effectiveness reviews over IT and data controls are required.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Establish, maintain, and strengthen relationships both internally and in the market. Be a trusted advisor to clients across various sectors (e.g., Banking and Capital Markets, Insurance and Wealth and Asset Management).
* Communicate complex messages and implement difficult decisions while building and maintaining strong relationships based on trust.
* Adapt to diverse cultural and personal styles to work effectively with various differences, concerns, and motivations, fostering the creation of teams that leverage diverse skills and strengths from across the organisation.
* Demonstrate awareness of group dynamics to promote an inclusive approach that results in timely, authentic feedback and coaching being provided to all colleagues and team members.
* Have responsibility for business and solution development, along with being focused on the external market, while maintaining strong client relationships and delivering exceptional client service and delivery outcomes.
* Manage multiple client teams and engagement types concurrently.

* Take responsibility for team understanding of risk, independence, objectivity, and compliance with policies.
To qualify for the role you must have
* Demonstrable, extensive professional experience in managing and delivering audits, attestations, and risk assessments within the payments domain on FS clients, fostering and maintaining key client relationships for timely delivery, cost efficiency, and high audit quality.
* Extensive experience in business development and solution creation.
* Proven experience in managing, delivering, and owning the client relationship over:
o Subject knowledge in payments domain (national and cross‑border) and good understanding of national payment schemes such as Pay.UK (Bacs, FPS and ICS), LINK, Bacs‑CASS, CHAPS, CREST, and SWIFT.
o Experience in conducting payment attestations, SWIFT Customer Security Programme (CSP) reviews, and Second Payment Services Directive (PSD2) audits.
o A demonstrable professional IT Internal Audit experience.
o Experience in conducting IT internal audits over major change programmes and regulatory remediation programmes.
o Audit using data analytics and automated control testing.
o Assurance over front‑to‑back-office controls, change programmes, and operational resilience.
o Third Party Risk Management and Information Security audits.
o Reviews of emerging technologies e.g. Cloud, AI, RPA.
* Good technical understanding of ISAE 3000 and IT audit methodologies.
* Demonstrable expertise in overseeing and executing client engagements, encompassing scoping, financial management, managing delivery risk, deliverable production, quality assurance, and comprehensive deliverable reviews.
* Proven ability to engage with diverse stakeholders and manage cross functional projects. Hands‑on approach to build and maintain excellent relationships across a range of FS clients and other stakeholders.
* An eagerness and track record in establishing and leading high‑performing teams and supporting and coaching individual team members.
* A passion for providing organisations the trust and confidence that will enable them to adopt emerging technologies, manage IT risks and accelerate performance.
* Extensive experience within the FS industry and a strong understanding of the FS technology and payments landscape.
* Thorough understanding of UK and EMEIA FS payments regulatory environment.
* Experience working for a professional services consultancy firm, major financial institution or blue‑chip industry firm in IT internal audit, or IT risk management is highly preferred but not essential.
Ideally, you will also have

* Ability to manage multiple stakeholder communities with varying levels of experience.
* Keen interest in developing a wide and deep network across client organisations and professional bodies, developing lasting, mutually beneficial relationships with key stakeholders.
* Fosters team spirit to promote collaboration and achieve goals.
* Relevant industry certifications such as CRISC, CISA, CISSP, CISM, CGEIT, ITIL, PMP, or other specialised IT certifications.
* Experience in delivering IT general controls (ITGC) and IT automated controls audits.
* Experience in Third Party Controls Reporting – SOC1, SOC2, ISAE3402 and AAF.
