Our client is seeking a SENIOR DRAUGHTSPERSON for a hybrid role.
Roles And Responsibilities
* Lead the preparation of detailed drawings and plans for complex overhead power line projects using CAD software.
* Review design drawings prepared by draughtspersons and junior team members.
* Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and project specifications.
* Maintain and update project documentation, including design changes and revisions.
* Collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
* Provide mentorship and technical guidance to draughtspersons and junior team members.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance drafting processes and tools.
Experience
* Typically 6+ years of experience in the T&D, Power, Utilities or Construction industry. OHL design experience not essential but would be advantageous.
Skills And Abilities
* Advanced proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.).
* In-depth knowledge of drafting standards, best practices, and industry regulations.
* In-depth knowledge of OHL components
* Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Advanced ability to interpret and review complex engineering drawings and specifications.
* Effective communication skills for collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
