Job Description
We are seeking a transferee Police Constable Surveillance Officer to join our covert surveillance team.
Responsibilities
* Provide investigative support by gathering information and intelligence under covert operations
* Target high‑profile cases and organised crime groups in Cambridgeshire
* Blend seamlessly into the natural environment to collect actionable intelligence
* Operate flexibly to accommodate unpredictable working hours and shift patterns
Qualifications & Requirements
* Qualified Q1 Surveillance Officer with experience in covert operations
* Successful completion of Security Clearance (SC) vetting
* DNA and fingerprint elimination sample provided if role classified as high‑risk
* Current training record and professional documentation available on request
Health and Fitness
* Must complete a job‑related fitness test or hold a current JRFT / PPST certificate
Additional Information
* Supervisor appraisal may be required for transfer, renewal, or management vetting
* Applicants are required to meet all statutory safety and suitability checks per National Vetting Guidelines
