Job overview
This post holder will provide a highly specialist service within our Adult ADHD team. Working with neurodiverse individuals from across North West London, this post, located within the Adult ADHD team in Kingsbury, this role will offer flexible, evidence-based episodes of care, assessment and treatment.
The post holder will provide clinical expertise in the field of Neurodiversity and be experienced in assessment, differential and comorbid diagnosis including experience in the administration of relevant standardised ADHD assessment.
The post holder will support the team by managing a delegated caseload of service users that have an established diagnosis and treatment plan for ADHD, predominantly by reviewing post diagnosis at titration and follow up appointments.
Main duties of the job
* To provide a highly specialised practitioner and non-medical prescribing service within the Adult Adult service and leadership of the ADHD team.
* Provide comprehensive specialist neurodevelopmental assessments of adults with suspected ADHD.
* To exercise autonomous professional responsibility for the assessment, treatment and discharge of individuals whose problems are managed by psychologically based standard care plans.
* Provide specialist advice guidance and consultation to other professionals contributing directly to an individuals formulation, diagnosis and treatment plan.
Person specification
Education/ Qualifications
* Professional registration with the Nursing Midwifery Council (NMC) RMN
* MSc or appropriate level of experience
* Research training
* Post registration training in a treatment modality to diploma/degree standard as a minimum such as CBT
Experience
* Significant experience of working within a CAMHS team
* Experience of ADHD assessments
* Experience of running ADHD clinics
* Experience of prescribing and monitoring of medication.
